Paula Ospina is originally from Colombia and grew up in the D.C. area where she focuses her work on gender, identity and culture. She received a BFA in photojournalism from Rochester Institute of Technology. Her long-term goal is to shine a light and produce stories on how gender equality, immigration and generational wealth affect underrepresented communities. From 2018-2020, she lived in Senegal as a Peace Corps Health volunteer. Her life experiences have taught me the importance of valuing diversity and building relationships, in the continuous quest for understanding one another.
