About

Natalia Solórzano Vásquez (Costa Rica) is a film director, editor, and programmer. Her debut feature "Avanzaré tan despacio" premiered at IDFA 2019. Her short films "Mapas de mi Memoria" (2015) and "La Bohemia" (2019) were awarded at the Costa Rica International Film Festival. As an editor, she has collaborated on the documentaries "Objetos Rebeldes" (IDFA, 2020) and "La picada" (Guadalajara, 2022). She has participated in prestigious international labs and residencies such as DocStation Berlinale, IDFA Academy, and is a Sundance Institute Documentary Fund grantee (2021). She is currently developing the documentary "Hechizos para revivir una bruja" and her first fiction film "La Mujer del Calor", while participating in the Programa Rueda at the Academia de Cine de España (2024-2025).
