About
Gaby Sosa is a Salvadoran-American writer/director based in Washington, D.C. Her first short documentary Where Are We Going? documented students walking out after mass shootings in 2018.Soon after, she co-directed a year-long documentary, Rain or Shine, on how the covid pandemic impacted three local restaurants. She spent her past spring abroad attending FAMU, one of the oldest film schools in the world. While in Prague, she co-directed a scripted drama on 16mm film, Mi Papa Antonio. Currently Gaby is working on the post production of RIPE, a short film that she wrote and directed. She earned the Michael Forman & Bonnie Brae Forman Endowed Scholarship to attend American University. As a working independent filmmaker, Gaby aims to create provocative stories that entice, question, and thrill audiences.
