Evan is an award-winning producer, director, writer, and journalist based in New York City. For a decade, he was a staff producer at the HBO original series "Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel," where he was the winner of six Emmys, a duPont-Columbia Award, an Investigative Reporters and Editors Award, an Overseas Press Club of America Award, and three Producers Guild of America honors. Evan has led productions domestically and abroad, including war-time Ukraine, parts of West Africa, and rural India. He has embedded with matadors in Spain, uncovered illegal cockfighting rings across America, investigated the NFL and IOC, profiled celebrities, and covered issues of race, class, and gender. Prior to HBO, Evan was on staff at NBC News, where he produced for "Nightly News with Lester Holt" and "Dateline." He earned a master's degree from Columbia Journalism School, where he was class valedictorian and a Pulitzer Traveling Fellow. As a fellow, he directed a documentary short about transgender life in India. It was published by NBC News Digital. Also specializing in project management, creative direction, programming, and all aspects of production. Skilled communicator and team leader. Evan was born and raised in Philadelphia and is of Jewish and Puerto Rican descent.
