Chiara Hollender is an Iranian-American filmmaker and storyteller based in New England.

Chiara Hollender is a Vermont-based Iranian-American documentary director and producer. She is the founder of Summer Moon Productions, a production company dedicated to telling stories about the relationship between women and the natural world. For the past seven years, Chiara has traveled across the United States documenting the women who are restoring land, stewarding ecosystems, and shaping climate solutions in their communities. Her work explores the deep connections between people and place, and the knowledge held by those who care for the earth. Most recently, Chiara produced and directed two seasons of the PBS series Women of the Earth. She has also recently produced work for Earthrise and Radical Media, and her short documentary Melany & Freya premiered at DOC NYC in 2020.
