About

Daniel has worked extensively in documentary film for a decade now, filming and directing a variety of content for major international broadcasters and streamers, including HBO, VICE News, Showtime, Hulu, Channel 4 and the BBC. He has primarily worked in a documentary style, filming naturally unfolding moments and capturing real life as it unfolds in front of the camera. He has directed productions that have gone on to win multiple awards, including a Peabody Award, an LA Press Club Award, and an Overseas Press Club Award. During his career has also won 3 Emmy Awards, including the 2022 News and Documentary Emmy Award for Outstanding Video Journalism. His expertise lies in capturing authentic, unscripted moments in real-life situations, whether working alongside presenters and journalists or in un-hosted observational character-led documentaries. He is equally adept in both multi-camera and single-camera environments. He is skilled at lighting beautiful interviews and scenes and equally comfortable filming with contributors and building character driven films.
