Cinefest Latino Boston and Video Consortium invite you to a casual breakfast followed by a conversation on navigating ethical dilemmas in documentary filmmaking on Saturday, Oct. 3.

11:30am - Morning coffee, tea and treats. Meet new storytellers or reconnect with old colleagues. Discuss the films you’ve watched at Cinefest before heading into the panel conversation.

12:30pm - Inside the Bright Family Screening Room, the panel will be moderated by Jenny Alexander and feature Monica Cohen (Dreams of Chonta, Javier Cruz-Ginez (La Esperanza), and Paula Cury (Scarlet Girls).

We’ll explore what it means to thoughtfully approach storytelling: building genuine relationships and trust with participants, practicing transparency and consent, and maintaining the well-being of everyone involved.
