Their Island

From "Solutions Inside Out," a short film from Interação x Giuliana Monteiro

About the film:

Four Sururu fisherwomen in northeastern Brazil emerge as powerful activists, advocating for their rights and ensuring their voices are heard. Amidst their daily hauls from the river, they organize on both local and international levels, all the while demonstrating the power of bottom-up organizing to combat climate change and boost community participation.
