Steffan is a Welsh filmmaker based in Hackney Wick, London. He creates character-driven films with a sensitivity for aesthetics. Steffan works globally: Tokyo, Kyoto, London, Lima, New York and Los Angeles. Recent work includes collaborating with Ipsos MORI for clients including the BBC, Coca Cola, Sport England, Novartis and HMRC. Steffan is now working on a feature documentary about Japanese culture through the lens of skateboarding. The project is a recipient of funding from the Daiwa Foundation Grant scheme. Daiwa is an Anglo-Japanese foundation. In 2018, Steffan returned to the UK after living in Japan (Kyoto & Tokyo) for six years and is fluent in Japanese.
