About

Simone Cassas is a Film & Video Editor, with a strong background in motion graphics and post-production. With a career spanning over two decades, she has delved into a myriad of formats, genres, and styles, ranging from TV promos, PSAs, and documentaries to TV news, commercials, and narrative films. She has edited the award-winning feature-length documentary that follows the personal experiences of three emerging artists from New York City, Mexico City, and Sao Paulo as they navigate the male-dominated subculture of graffiti and street art. Punctuated by interviews with pioneering artists Lady Pink, Swoon, and photographer Martha Cooper, Street Heroines is a first-of-its kind film. Her most recent work is Off The Grid - a compelling and hard hitting short documentary following a day in the life of Dave, an ex-Royal Marine who lives on the side of a cliff on the coast in Southern England. Currently, Simone finds herself at the intersection of freelance commercial editing for television and the development of personal projects, particularly in the realm of long-form documentary filmmaking. Her passion for storytelling continues to drive her, and she eagerly anticipates the next chapter in her illustrious career.
