Simone Perez is a multi Emmy award-winning producer with extensive experience in nonfiction storytelling for television. She has traveled the world to cover immigration, abortion access, trans rights, environmental injustice, indigenous communities, the criminal justice system and more. Her work is deeply rooted in elevating and amplifying voices from minority communities.
Her work has appeared on HBO, Showtime, VICE TV and other cable networks. She has been recognized with three News & Documentary Emmys, a NAMIC Vision Award, two New York Press Club Awards, a Webby Award and a primetime Emmy nomination for her work on VICE on Showtime.
Simone studied journalism at The George Washington University and lives in Washington, DC.
