Julia Schönstädt is a cinematographer and director based in London. She studied Photography Design at Berlin's iconic Lette Verein and earned her Master’s in Photography at the renowned Goldsmiths, University of London. Besides her commercial work, Julia is deeply committed to pursuing personal and factual projects that reflect her passion for social issues. Her personal work includes projects with refugees, prisoners and sex workers. Julia has been awarded numerous scholarships and awards, including the 2021 'Portrait of Humanity' presented by the British Journal of Photography. Her short documentary 'Me.You.Us.' on unaccompanied refugee teenagers in Germany won second place at the Siena Photo Awards in 2021.
