About
Saleem Reshamwala is an Emmy-nominated, Durham, NC-based mediamaker and Instructor of Cinematic Arts at Duke University. He has documented hip hop in Croatia, Morocco, Senegal, Ethiopia, Fiji, Panama and the Democratic Republic of Congo for programs like PBS Digital Studios' Beat Making Lab, hosted TED's Far Flung podcast, and filed video work for The Guardian. He co-founded Look Different, a quarterly documentarians meetup in Durham, has mentored emerging filmmakers through CAAM's Sauce Fellowship and his work as a program director at Break the Room, and served on the 2026 Full Frame Documentary Festival's Best Short jury. He has studied, worked or hung out in 50 countries.
