Ryan Loew is a photojournalist and documentary filmmaker based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He’s currently a visual storyteller/producer for PublicSource, a nonprofit digital-first news organization that covers critical issues in the Pittsburgh region. Ryan previously worked as a freelance video journalist, focused primarily on producing news and documentary stories in the Pittsburgh region and beyond. His work appeared on PBS NewsHour, WQED and other news organizations. Prior to that he served as multimedia editor at 90.5 WESA, Pittsburgh’s NPR member station. Before moving to Pittsburgh, Ryan worked as a multimedia producer for The Roanoke Times in Virginia. He began his career as a reporter at the Lansing State Journal in Michigan. The Ohio native studied journalism at Kent State University.
