About

RAJAN KATHET is a Kathmandu-based filmmaker working in both fiction and documentary. An alumnus of DOCNOMADS, Berlinale Talents, and Global Media Makers, his films have traveled to major festivals, including TIFF, Sheffield DocFest, DMZ Docs, Taiwan IDFF, Tampere FF, HKIFF, and Golden Apricot IFF. He has served as a juror for the IDA Documentary Awards 2023 and on selection committees for Alternativa Film Awards and Festival 2024 (Indonesia) and KIMFF Nepal. Beyond filmmaking, Rajan collaborates as a co-producer and fixer, facilitating international productions in Nepal and bridging local stories with global audiences. He also mentors emerging filmmakers through workshops and film schools.
