About

After having worked in multimedia as a digital nomad for several years, Pierre-Yves Beaulieu completed the director training in the documentary program of INIS – Institut national de l'image et du son (National Institute College of Image and Sound) in Montreal in 2017. His short films Floyd (2017) and La nuit des Krampus (2018), produced by INIS, have been selected in several festivals and have won awards. Interested in a multitude of subjects and inspired by his long journeys, Pierre-Yves wishes to take a philosophical and poetic look at the world we live in, by showcasing protagonists who don’t get so much attention. Since 2021, he is based in Berlin, Germany. He is now working on his first feature film, "Fisterra, the End of the World", about pilgrims who arrive in a small village at the end of the Camino de Santiago (Chemin de Compostelle/Jakobsweg)
