Olivia is a Mississippi-based documentarian exploring Southern skateboard culture, third places, and the value of shared learning. She is also the Operations Manager at the Southern Documentary Project at the University of Mississippi.

Olivia Whittington is a documentarian living and working in Oxford, MS. Olivia is pursuing an MA in Southern Studies with an emphasis in documentary practice from the Center for the Study of Southern Culture at the University of Mississippi. Olivia is also the Operations Manager for the Southern Documentary Project.
Her current work involves collaborating with skateboarders in North Mississippi to document their "creative destruction" through film and photo, as well as highlight how skateparks operate as unique spaces for community learning. Her film 'Gateway Toys' has screened at several film festivals and received the Best Graduate Film Award at the 2025 South Georgia Film Festival.
