About

Nosarieme Garrick is an Emmy-nominated documentary director and producer whose work explores identity, culture, and transformation across continents. She currently serves as Co-Director of the Solutions Storytelling Project: Africa at the Video Consortium, a global initiative that connects filmmakers and social innovators across the continent to produce solutions-focused short documentaries driving real-world impact. With over a decade of experience in documentary television and international production, Nosarieme has directed and produced films and series for PBS, National Geographic, Hulu, CNN, and The New York Times. Her work has taken her from Lagos to New York to the Serengeti, crafting character-driven stories that center underrepresented voices and global creative communities. She is currently directing her feature debut, Last Weekend in October — a verité documentary set in Lagos, Nigeria, that explores the city’s fashion ecosystem as a lens into culture, economy, and self-expression. Earlier in her career, she created My Africa Is, a Telly and Cindy award-winning documentary series recognized by the National Endowment for the Arts and NBPC360 for its portrayal of young changemakers across the continent. Nosarieme splits her time between Lagos and New York, working at the intersection of storytelling, social impact, and creative innovation.
