About
Molly Murphy is currently Director of Partnerships and Innovation at Working Films, and one of the organization's five executive directors. She started her work positioning films for change in 1998 and has since planned and directed campaigns, designed and led trainings, facilitated partnerships and coordinated coalitions centered on leveraging the power of film to make an impact on the biggest issues of our time. She is a founding member of the Documentary Accountability Working Group, which is catalyzing and cultivating a culture of care throughout the documentary ecosystem. She also serves on the board of Justice for My Sister, which resources youth to tell stories through a gender equity, racial justice, and trauma-informed lens. Molly is also the advisory board chair of Encore, the beloved source of arts, culture, news, and community connection in Southeastern North Carolina.
