Melanie is a Vietnamese American filmmaker and writer. She recently completed an experimental documentary that explores the Vietnamese community in New Orleans and the relationship between land and labor, seen through their foodways. Mel is working towards a career in documentary film editing, amplifying the voices of those on the margins. She has recently edited for CNE series (SELF and Vanity Fair) and is currently working on an upcoming experimental documentary film.
