About

Filmmaker and collage artist. Studied filmmaking in National School of Cinematographic Arts at National Autonomous University of Mexico (ENAC-UNAM) (2016-2020) and film script in Bande a Part in Barcelona (2015). Grand Jury Award at the Caravan Film Festival in Italy for “Valentina”, a shortfilm documentary of which she was co-producer and sound engineer. Award for the best one minute short with a mobile device at the 7th Metropolitan Festival of One Minute Shortfilm and Short Narratives for “Trayecto” (2018). Fellow of the Program to Stimulate Artistic Creation and Development of the State Fund of Culture and the Arts of Sonora (PECDA-FECAS) 2017-2018 and is currently a scholarship holder from the National Fund for Culture and the Arts for Young Creators in the Video category. Her analog collage work has been exhibited at: Exhibition with Colectivo Maroma in Mexico City (2022); Collective exhibition at Bibart Biennale Internazionale in Bari, Italy (2021); “Restos” individual exhibition, in Mexico City and Morelia (2021); Collective exhibition at the International Festival of Collage Paste Up! (2021). Regarding publications: Cover for Este País magazine in number 350: Our State of Law (2020); collages published in the books Art Doesn’t Have to Match your Sofa, by Everydaypaper (2020) and Visione e intuzione, la racione dell’arte, by the publishing house Lino-o-type (2021); and in international magazines such as Cults of Life: Silence (2020) and Semioculus X: Eyes (2020). Incrustations was recently screened, a medium-length film that she co-directed in collaboration with the Gloria Contreras Chair in Dance and its Interdisciplinary Links (UNAM); and her dance video-installation was exhibited at MUAC as part of the Incrustations project.
