Hello! Ive been behind a camera for more than half my life, starting as an easy credit, then an interesting hobby, and for far longer, a career. I love this job. Its afforded some pretty incredible memories and stories that Ill get to tell my son when were not chasing each other around. Thatll probably be a couple of years still.
Ive worked in several aspects of the industry, from news photography to assisting, directing, commercial production, editing, and foley, Im pretty sure the term Jack of All Trades was coined before I got here, but I think Jack and I could have had a competition with the number of hats Ive worn over the years. Most recently, Ive been working in video production's documentary and commercial areas. Interviews are supported by several players in the story told with a narrative and as much compelling b-roll as we can capture within budget. Ive enjoyed all the commercial work that Ive done in the past, the work that Im most proud of is the stories that I get to build from the ground up. Ryans Story is a good example, from the first brainstorming meeting, I took it and ran. From start to finish, and with a little help from the team at Adbay, we made a very compelling and fun film.
Ive worked with various camera systems, audio gear, drones, and applications. Im savvy in Adobe, DJI, Sony, Canon, and ARRI. Ive got a BIG interest in 3D, but all Ive been able to make so far is a coffee cup. The cups handle was a little janky though. I love keyframes and podcasts; sitting down and seeing what I can make with a little direction and some freedom.
