Kristal Sotomayor is a bilingual Latinx festival programmer, documentary filmmaker, and journalist based in Philadelphia. They serve as the Awards Competition Manager for the International Documentary Association and Co-Founder/Journalist for ¡Presente! Media. Formerly, they were the Programming Director for the Philadelphia Latino Film Festival and Communications and Outreach Manager at Scribe Video Center. Currently, they are working on the documentary film Expanding Sanctuary and docu-animation film Alx Through The Labyrinth.

The Video Consortium is a global nonprofit media organization that supports the world’s nonfiction filmmakers and video journalists to tell bold stories that change the world.
