About
Kelyn Ikegami grew up on a steady diet of world cinema, baseball, and Tokyo’s public transit. He directed The Streak, which won the Audience Award at the Nashville Film Festival. As a producer, his credits include Rat Rod, a 2025 Academy Awards qualifier and SIFF Documentary Short Grand Jury Prize winner; Scenes from the Glittering World, distributed by Independent Lens; and American Seams, distributed by the Los Angeles Times and PBS POV. His latest short, Japantown: What Is Lost, What Remains, was selected by Firelight Media for their Homegrown program.
