Kelby earned an MFA from University of Southern California's Film and Television Production program. He is currently working on a documentary on a mother and son's journey through Autism treatment and recovery in rural Iowa. However, he is not immune to shooting/editing ads for companies such as Google, Waze, CrowdStrike and YouTube. During his time off Kelby enjoys breakfast foods, jiu jitsu, and reading old books. But not all at the same time.
