Keir Johnson is a Director of Photography, Producer/Shooter, FAA 107 Drone Pilot, and Sony FX9 Owner/Operator based in Washington, DC, and Baltimore. With over 20 years of experience in documentary, broadcast, streaming, and branded content, he specializes in non-fiction, unscripted, reality, and action-sports style productions. His work has appeared on Netflix, HBO Max, Discovery, and National Geographic Channel.
Keir’s portfolio includes Netflix’s "Titletown High" (Director of Photography and Drone Pilot), Warner Bros Discovery’s "Carole Baskin's Cage Fight" (Producer/Shooter), and Magnolia Network’s "Building Off The Grid" series (Director of Photography). He has also shot internationally including Cyprus, France, Greece, Indonesia, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Spain, Turkey, and the UK bringing a global perspective to visual storytelling.
Proficient across Sony, Canon, Arri, and DJI platforms, Keir is equally skilled in lighting, camera operation, and audio, often handling projects solo from production through post. Holding a degree in Cinema Studies from the University of Maryland, College Park, he blends technical expertise with a commitment to crafting visually compelling, story-driven content that resonates with audiences worldwide.
