Julie Tumasz

Julie Tumasz is a visual storyteller for social impact, international development and a sustainable future with extensive production experience in international policymaking and humanitarian efforts. Julie's proven ability to lead visual storytelling and digital marketing campaigns promotes and positions local communities’ goals by creatively reaching existing and new audiences with empathic and emotional videos elevating their social initiatives. Along with producing, shooting and editing films in over 15 countries, Julie has led film-making workshops for entrepreneurs and youth in Eastern Europe, Asia and North and West Africa and in her free time, she is currently the CEO of Design Xchange, a startup working to realize an international network of creative videographers who elevate local solutions to global problems. She has had global video production experience since directing documentaries as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Macedonia in 2011. Currently, she is producing and filming spotlight film pieces on indigenous communities in Cameroon, Guinea Bissau and Kenya with the UNDP Equator Initiative for the UN Climate Summit 2019.
