At Great Big Story, she produced short docs about food, travel, culture and science reaching 12 million+ viewers across YouTube and other social platforms. She has also worked at CNN International covering major breaking news as a producer and video editor. In 2016, she co-produced a 30-minute film about black dancers in classical ballet that won the Student Academy Award. Based in Brooklyn, New York, Joy has two other homes: Seoul, South Korea where she lived until 12 years old, and the good ol’ suburbs of New Jersey where she first learned the nuances of American culture. Joy believes that storytelling is one of the most effective tools in building understanding and connection across cultural differences.
