About

Jessie is a documentary filmmaker specializing in veríté documentary cinematography. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography with a minor in Sociology in 2007 from the State University of New York at Purchase College before working at Milk Digital and then a freelance digital tech for some of New Yorks top fashion, beauty and portrait photographers. Relocating to Thailand in 2014 to serve as the Human Rights Storyteller for EarthRights International, Jessie spent the next two years creating photo and video advocacy campaigns throughout the Mekong and Amazon regions. In 2018, she completed her Master of Fine Arts in Social Documentary at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. Her first film, THE BOXERS OF BRULE, garnered nominations and awards at festivals internationally and is currently available for streaming through Vice World News. With roots in fine art, fashion, and advocacy, Jessie strives to create visually striking films that contribute to a deeper understanding of our shared human experience.
