About

Jess Miller is an experienced, passionate and driven storyteller that has been working as a Freelance Documentary Editor on various documentary series and feature films over the past 15 years. Her latest works include multiple documentary series for Apple, FX, Netflix and Showtime. Her feature work also includes Butterfly Girl, which premiered at the 2014 SXSW Film Festival and streamed on Hulu. Jess has crafted multiple stories that have received nominations for Emmy’s, IDA, and Independant Spirit Awards, and has been lucky enough to work with some of the most renowned directors in the field. Collaborating with talented artists, and finding the emotional arc of a story are some of Jess’ favorite parts of editing. She graduated from the Emerson College, magna cum laude, with a B.S. in Film and Television. Jess now resides in Brooklyn, NY, but can work anywhere on her mobile edit setup.
