About

Giorgio Ghiotto is an Italian documentary filmmaker based in NYC, USA. He graduated from New York University, with a MA in journalism and documentary and he is very passionate about telling compelling stories around the globe. His main areas of focus are human rights violation, social and climate justice. He is driven by the idea that films can be a very powerful tool to raise awareness, inspire to appreciate the beauty of our planet, and enhance core values, such as inclusivity. Being able to capture the wonder of nature and humans through a deep attention to cinematography, even during the roughest moment, is one his strongest traits. His curiosity and admiration for different cultures drove him to travel for clients such as The United Nations, Osprey and different NGOs with a focus on human rights violations. He also thinks that the best story can be found close to our home, like in the case of the documentary "Movement" about an American wheelchair boxer.
