Garrett Detrixhe is a filmmaker and producer working in both Atlanta and Los Angeles.

About

Raised in a town of only a thousand people in rural northwest Oklahoma, Garrett's work captures the beauty, challenges, and often-overlooked stories woven into the fabric of small-town life. His storytelling focuses on the charm of the everyday, aiming to unearth the meaning nestled within the quotidian aspects of daily life. Garrett’s work has been screened at festivals such as the Austin Film Festival, Savannah SCAD Film Festival, and the Atlanta Film Festival. His most recent film, The Girl at the Motor Hotel, won Best Short Film at the Eastern Oregon Film Festival and Best Performance at Tallgrass Film Festival. His writing has been awarded and acknowledged by WeScreenplay Script Labs, Film Impact Georgia, and the Atlanta Film Festival Screenplay Competition. He was chosen to take part in the 2023 Eastern Oregon Filmmaker Residency Program, where he developed a feature film to be produced in rural Oregon.
