Esther D. Young is a mother, co-creator and lifelong learner with an entrepreneurial spirit and a love for the arts. She is the Director of Finance & Administration for Soarpreneur, a nonprofit organization committed to celebrating, promoting, training and mentoring independent filmmakers and entrepreneurs. Soarpreneur organizes the annual JXN FILM FESTIVAL™.
Esther is a service oriented team leader with diverse professional experience in both pastoral ministry and chaplaincy, curriculum development, classroom instruction, administrative leadership, managerial supervision, procurement management, fiscal management, customer service and aesthetics.
Esther holds a Master of Divinity (2003) with an emphasis in Theology from the Interdenominational Theological Center (Atlanta, GA) and a Bachelor of Arts (1997) in Humanities with an emphasis in Philosophy and Religion from Tougaloo College (Tougaloo, MS).
