Eugene Obah is the co-founder and Vice President of Common Sense Entertainment Inc., an award-winning independent production company based in Washington DC.
In addition to overseeing content development for its series on YouTube, he executive produces, directs, writes, edits and hosts much of its output, including the topical news discussion series FIT TO SPEAK and culinary adventure series DAMN THAT’S GOOD. He helped lead the company to critical and audience acclaim, most notably with a Best Short Film award in Germany on its first documentary short on independent artist and activist Radio Rahim, a Best Innovative New Media nomination for A HOLE LOTTA CHEESE, and more recently, its ongoing coverage of missing media industry professional Terrence Woods. He additionally freelances at Bloomberg, where he serves in a behind the scenes capacity for its political programming. Obah is a graduate of the University of Maryland, and serves on the journalism school’s alumni board.
