Emma Strauss is a Hungarian-British self-shooting Documentary Director, Editor and Video Journalist currently based in Berlin. Emma is passionate about human-centred factual storytelling.

About

Emma (b. 1991, Hungary) is a Documentary Filmmaker and Video Journalist with a passion for human-centred, honest and candid storytelling. She studied BA Visual Communication in the University in Brighton, before moving to Berlin to pursue her career. Emma has produced reportage films and videos for a variety of clientele around Europe, and worked previously as a Senior Producer for a global video agency. Her first feature documentary filmed in Kosovo (2022-) is currently in postproduction. She is also the co-founder of Oblique Collective, a Berlin based collective creating video content in the areas of human rights, governance and climate change.

The Video Consortium is a global nonprofit media organization that supports the world’s nonfiction filmmakers and video journalists to tell bold stories that change the world.
