About

Ellen’s work has screened at film festivals in the US and internationally and been broadcast on the Sundance Channel, PBS, the World Channel and AMC+. Ellen holds an MFA in Film and Media Arts from Temple University, she was a Karen Schmeer Film Editing Fellow, and she is a member of the Alliance of Documentary Editors. Ellen loves sifting through footage to find moments that reveal character and story. While she primarily edits, she also wears other hats, such as researcher, camera operator, producer, sound recordist and translator. She began her career in film as a volunteer in Honduras and she often collaborates on projects that deal with Latin America, and immigration.

The Video Consortium is a global nonprofit media organization that supports the world’s nonfiction filmmakers and video journalists to tell bold stories that change the world.
