Eli is the Turner Professor of Environmental Media at George Washington University. There he trains the next generation of environmental storytellers.
Before that, Eli was a science journalist and a segment producer at Scripps News, where he produced shows on science, climate, medicine and technology. He has produced or written science video for Vox, PBS, Scientific American, Be Smart, American Chemical Society, among other partners. As a magazine journalist he has covered Arctic change, climate, energy and the environment for Science, New Scientist, the Washington Post, Slate, New Scientist and other publications. His book HACK THE PLANET received a starred review from Publisher's Weekly and was excerpted in Wired magazine.
