About

I am an award-winning documentary filmmaker and community organizer for Video Consortium's NYC chapter, currently working as a freelance Director, DP, Gaffer, AC, and everything in between. With approximately 3 years in the field as a full-time filmmaker, I have worked on documentary productions for companies like VICE Media, HBO, PBS, Showtime, and ABC Investigative News. As an independent filmmaker, I shot and directed an award winning documentary short, "Since the Spill", an intimate portrait of a fishing community along the gulf coast of Mexico and the efforts it's local worker's cooperative to sue an oil giant for the devastation of their once bountiful marine ecosystem. Coming from a background of legal research and grassroots political organizing, I am most interested in work that advances the international labor movement and it's intersections with the climate crisis–a mission that I recently began pushing further with an upcoming video campaign for the Emergency Workers Organizing Committee (EWOC). Aside from my mission-driven work, I often find myself gravitating towards stories about eccentric characters, artists, and especially musicians. Recently, this brought me to working as the Director of photography on an upcoming documentary short entitled, "Underground Sounds", a gritty exploration of the lives of New York City's latest cult-sensation, the New Thousand Band.
