Dan Halperin

Dan produced and directed the documentary Bombshells and Dollies which premiered on Amazon Prime and now streaming on Kanopy. Dan produced the feature films Road Kings (Lionsgate) and Scarred (MGM/Sony). He created and produced the Emmy-winning SHOWTIME series Picture Windows which premiered at Cannes, also writing and directing the series pilot. Dan also directed on the PBS documentary series Phenomenon. Dan has worked in community television and directed and produced numerous commercials and music videos in the MTV era. A proud Chicago native, Dan is a graduate of St. Ignatius College Prep, attended the University of Notre Dame, The University of London, UCSD (BA) and Graduate Film and TV at UCLA. Hes a member of Film Independent (FIND), the International Documentary Association (IDA), the Television Academy and a highly engaged member of the Producers Guild of America (PGA) serving the Green, Mentoring and Education Committees, plus serving as Chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee. He mentored for the PGAs Power of Diversity Workshop for ten years and has taught that workshop abroad. Dan is also developing the feature Every Man a Tiger, based on his Dads WWII experience operating behind enemy lines in China at the earliest inception of what is now the Navy SEALs. And Dans Picture Windows series is now being reimagined as the international anthology series Provenance, bringing famous paintings to life cinematically.
