Hi! I produce social media videos for The Baltimore Banner, a non-profit news outlet that launched in 2022. I've helped grow our Tiktok to 75,000 followers and Instagram to 135,000 followers. It's one of the primary ways we reach a public audience.

About

Krishna is a scientist-turned-journalist, and earned his master's degree studying butterfly ecology. He then pivoted into journalism as a science writer for the Miami Herald and eventually found his way to The Baltimore Banner. He earned the news outlet its first national award by getting the NYU American Journalism Online "Best Tiktok Explainer" award. He taught social media journalism at the University of Maryland in 2024 and has given lectures at UV Berkeley, Boston University and more.
