Beth is the editor of The Sentinel-Record newspaper in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She earned her degree in photojournalism from Arkansas State University, where she also minored in folklore studies. She believes the communication and documentation skills she learned through her fieldwork courses in folklore have contributed greatly to her ability to produce more in depth reporting as a community journalist.
