Azia Cimone is Program Manager at the Jackson Youth Newsroom, where she trains high school students as journalists, editors and civic storytellers—empowering them to report on local issues and shape narratives that matter. She is also founder of BRAINchild Media, combining storytelling, grassroots organizing, and strategic communications to amplify community voices. Azia chairs the Economic Development Committee for The Beloved Community Project and serves as Action & Advocacy Co-Chair for the Change Collective in Jackson. Through her work, she builds leadership pipelines, trains storytellers, and supports communities in reclaiming their narratives, helping Jackson emerge as a hub of innovation and collective power.
