About

Alistair Shurman is an EMMY-Award winning documentary film editor who began his career in 2007 with the film RUN FOR YOUR LIFE, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2008. He went on to edit the critically-acclaimed films EVERYBODY STREET (HOT DOCS 2013), NO MÀS (ESPN 2013, EMMY), KERRI WALSH JENNINGS: GOLD WITHIN (NBC 2016), and 200 MILES (TRIBECA 2017). Alistair was also an editor on ESPNS groundbreaking 63-part series, BASKETBALL: A LOVE STORY. In 2017 he co-produced and edited the film 16 BARS (DOCNYC 2018), which was acquired by Lightyear Entertainment and released theatrically in 2019. Feature film MACHO: THE HECTOR CAMACHO STORY aired on Showtime in 2020, and TIGRE GENTE premiered at Tribeca in 2021. TIGRE GENTE was the honorable mention winner of the prestigious Pare Lorentz Award from the International Documentary Association in 2022. In addition to his feature documentary work, Alistair has also edited several notable podcast series. They include: NO PLACE LIKE HOME, FALLEN ANGEL (Fortunes Best Podcasts of 2021, Glamours Best Podcasts of 2021), THE SUNSHINE PLACE (Deadline Club Award for Audio Investigative Reporting 2023), THE SET, and 2 seasons of the Edward R. Murrow Award-winning documentary podcast GONE SOUTH, all with C13Originals. He teamed up with FALLEN ANGEL host, Justine Harman, for 2 seasons of Audiochucks hit podcast series KILLED (Webby Award Honoree, Arts & Culture Ind. Episodes 2023). KILLED, Season 1, debuted at #1 on iTunes and was #12 on Apples Top New Shows of 2022 list.
