Aisha Amin is a NYC-based and Kenyan born filmmaker and photographer. Her work focuses on issues surrounding Muslim-Americans, identity and the criminal justice system. Her past short films include 'Sonia', 'EMRAA' and 'Incarcerating the Mentally Ill'. Her past photo projects incorporate documentary with narration and poetry. Aisha is also a freelance film critic and writer. She is currently the Woman Filmmaker fellow at the Jacob Burns Film Center.
