VC Atlanta: Video Lab

Join us for VC Atlanta's October Video Lab to watch new work from local filmmakers!

VC Atlanta are bringing together the work of local documentarians and we will be watching and discussing these new works, both complete and in-progress.

This is a great opportunity to meet local filmmakers and potential collaborators and discuss common interests and perhaps find inspiration for your own work!

We'll be screening two pieces and both directors will be present.

The Day That Shook Georgia, 21 min
directed by Patrick Longstreth
In 1971, one of the worst industrial tragedies in U.S. history shook rural Southeast Georgia. The victims were predominantly Black women, manufacturing trip flares for the Vietnam War. Over 50 years later, survivors and first responders shed new light on the bravery and sacrifice of that day, and a grassroots campaign seeks to award the victims with the Congressional Gold Medal.

Washed Out, 12 min
directed by Kristian Melom
After 15 years on the road as a touring musician, Ernest Greene better known as indie artist Washed Out, decided it was time to reevaluate his life.

Pizza and beverages included with RSVP.
