Documentary Impact with Miriam Chandy Menacherry & Triparna Banerjee

A conversation about Impact strategies with the team of ‘From The Shadows’.

What does an impact campaign entail? Does every film demand an impact campaign? How and when does one begin to think about an impact strategy? As documentary filmmakers, we often aspire to create an impact through the stories we tell. This can be challenging due to lack of resources, foresight or understanding of how to effectively harness the power of our stories. In conversation with Miriam and Triparna, we will delve into their film’s impact journey, followed by a Q&A.

Miriam Chandy Menacherry is the Founder Director of Filament Pictures, dedicated to creating a brand of social documentaries that have won acclaim in India and internationally.
Her award-winning films are about everyday heroes, From the Shadows (2022), The Leopard’s Tribe (2022), Lyari Notes (2015), The Rat Race (2011), Robot Jockey (2007), Stuntmen of Bollywood (2005) and a 7 part series Back to the Floor (Indian CEOs) on BBC World.
