Collaborative Conversations is a series of six online workshops with producers and directors across Europe teaching about co-productions and how they vary from country to country.
Taking place online from November through 2026, this monthly series will highlight co-productions with France, Germany, Spain, Italy, the United Kingdom, and Sweden.
Join us for a conversation about the ins and outs of leveraging coproductions with Spain, led by Mirjam Gelhorn. Mirjam is a free lance producer based in Stockholm, working for companies such as Mantaray Film and Momento Film. She is educated at Södertörns University and The Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm. She produced the films ALL OF OUR HEARTBEATS ARE CONNECTED THROUGH EXPLODING STARS (Vision Du reel, Hot Docs, Guldbagge for best sound design), LAP-SEE LAM - THE ARTIST AND THE SINGING CHEF (2024), THE LANDLORD (2025), and was assistant producer for OUAGA GIRLS (60+ festivals, cinamatic release in Sweden, France, Spain), MADRE (nominated Palme d’Or for best short, Cannes 2016) and TRANSNISTRA (Big Screen Award Rotterdam IFFR, Dragon Award Best Documentary Gothenburg IFF).
This series costs €3/workshop and is open to the public. If prospective participants find the €3 cost prohibitive, we’ll offer fee waivers. Both of our organizations aim to elevate imaginative nonfiction cinema and build community across the industry and we’re delighted to collaborate to produce this series.
