VC Los Angeles is thrilled to team up with Al Jazeera English for Amplifying Voices from the Global South on Thursday, Oct 9 at 7pm.
Join us at Harmony Gold for a special evening of connection, conversation, and bold storytelling centered on two of the most defining issues of our time: climate and migration.
The screening includes a Q&A with the filmmakers and networking over light bites and zero-proof drinks.
This moving lineup of true stories spans a human look at data-driven reporting on climate displacement, art as activism, and Mexican-American immigration lawyers fighting to secure safety and status for their clients in the United States.

While still haunted by the abuses in Myanmar, visa issues, and the ever-present risk to those back home, Sai becomes increasingly fraught, questioning his mission and whether he can bring about meaningful change.
⏳ Status Pending, directed by Priscilla Gonzalez Sainz
