In collaboration with the Subtropic Film Festival the Video Consortium presents this Documentary Shorts Program as a love letter to South Florida's subcultures and the people who add character to our spaces.

A short documentary about Churchill’s Hideaway—South Florida’s punk rock institution for four decades—as told by the band members, staff and regulars who used to call it home.

TEST OF TIME: MAC'S CLUB DEUCE (Julian Alicea, Amanda Ocana, Common Interest)
The first episode of Test of Time explores the rich history of Mac’s Club Deuce, Miami’s oldest bar, uncovering how it has endured decades of change, including waves of gentrification. “Test of Time” is a mini documentary series & photobook.

KEEP ON ROLLING (Pete Russell)
A short documentary about boogie vans, their owners, and unique subculture that has prevailed since the 1970s.

DEAR FLORIDA (David Hamzik)
A young boy reads a love letter his uncle wrote to their home state, the complex and misunderstood, Florida. An insight on the beauty to behold and a warning to the trauma that comes along with it.
