About

Manipella is a visual storyteller with solo and crew work experience. Her production, photojournalism, and long-form documentary work spans locations abroad and across the states. She received the Pulitzer Center Reporting Fellowship to cover an international reporting project in 2023. She has degrees in creative media production and environmental management. Her studies focused on international relations and were bolstered by her independent productions on multiple continents. Her strategic communication skills and grit were honed by managing in the backcountry setting. Coordinating rock climbing instructors and crews for backpacking loops taught Manipella how to manage teams in high-risk situations and lead on high-altitude expeditions. The experience she has taken out of her positions, with the ability to effectively cover, communicate, and delegate professionally in the field, office, backcountry, and in production, are all essential skills that make her the multidimensional professional she is today.
